Okay, so watching the moon get bombed through a telescope and binoculars wasn't as interesting as we had hoped. We had trouble focusing the lenses, we didn't have near enough magnification to make it significant, and holy crap it was cold. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea to bomb the moon. I still can't get over the fact that I'm saying the phrase "bomb the moon" seriously. I mean, it's the flippin' moon...we might need that later. Anyway, on a happier and far more visible note, we started tracking vocals. YAY!!!! My fav. That means we are zeroing in on finishing some tracks. Very sweet. We used state of the art blankets hung on state of the art nails to dampen the sound in the "vocal booth," and we made asparagus pasta, bacon wrapped shrimp, and marinated grilled veggies. That last part doesn't have so much bearing on the recording session, but c'mon...BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP!!!! It's a match made in heaven. Okay, maybe it's a match made in Tijuana or something, but I think heaven is probably relative anyway. New tunes coming up:) Much love.
