Shane and I went for a totally rad hike today. We went up into the mountains and found a desolate road and left the car. It was freezing cold, windy, and snowed on and off. There was a series of little creeks running through the middle of a vast meadow in between two tree covered hills, and the entire thing was frozen solid. All the twists and turns of the creek were just curvy ice blocks. Then we laid out a blanket and had lunch. I love the cold, holiday-ish seasons in the AZ mountains. And Shane loves anything to do with any mountains, anywhere, whenever:)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We got back in the studio this last week and tracked some acoustic guitars. We got some really good sounds with them, too. The whole thing is coming along nicely. We're on schedule to finish the record by about the middle to end of January. Then the real work begins. We just watched Bruno a couple nights ago also, and were shocked and horrified in a delightful way. I can't believe the things people can get away with in showbiz. Have a lovely holiday. Much love.

So we lost at state and soccer season is over, but, as I was telling my dad, now I have these really sweet polo shirts that say "Coach Orr." Oh well, better luck next season, right? The weird, pre-halloween snow that we had is all gone now and I think it's trying to summer again. We tracked bass lines a couple of nights this week and will be going back in to do more Sunday. It feels like a strange and somewhat sad time on the earth. Not sure what it is. But hey, I hope everyone who reads this feels their worth. I love you.

It's crazy with the weather here. It snowed before halloween, and now it's lovely outside. That's the White Mountains of AZ for ya'. Totally unpredictable. The soccer team lost at state, so we don't have any more games. Oh well, it was a fun season. We are still going on the new songs, tracking bass lines and guitars and stuff. We got a good response from everyone about the new tracks, so that's good. Hey, if you have heard them and dig the tunes, leave a comment somewhere. You can do it on the website or facebook or myspace, or all of them. It would be cool to have everyone's words all over the place about it. We're hoping for the first of the year or so for the remainder of the album. Keep your fingers crossed. 'Til then, I hope you all are smiling and loving life. Blessings to you.
