We're slowly but surely making our way to listenable tracks. We tracked some touch ups and tasties this past weekend. Got some bass lines down. I'm actually feeling the writing bug swarming around these days, so I might have to get creating and work on some new stuff soon. It's always such a mad dash to try to get an album recorded fast enough to not get sick of the material and move on. Anyway, I hope you are all having a lovely day:)

So we may end up switching the October 3rd show to the inside bar at Branding Iron. Gettin' too cold. But it will still be a good show and we hope everyone will come. We just threw some keyboard tracks on some new tunes with a KORG Triton. Sounds pretty solid. Almost listener worthy:)

We'll be going back into the studio on Wednesday to start fine tuning a couple of tracks. We should be on schedule to have them ready to be heard by mid-October. Rehearsals have been going well, but we may have to relocate our October 3rd show since the Branding Iron won't want to open the outdoor patio. I guess it's getting to cold. But we'll make something work. Also, our soccer team won the Show Low invitational tournament this past weekend. Flippin' sweet.

Super wicked rehearsal tonight. Can't wait. We're working on adding some new tunes from the recording project. Hopefully we'll have a couple of tunes ready to show folks sometime in mid-October. Probably just two tracks, as the rest will take quite awhile to finish. They will be posted on my website only, so we will definitely make it known when they happen. Read some decent books recentlt. I finally finished Sherman Alexie's Reservation Blues, which was pretty cool. I had been reading it off and on for awhile. A Briefer History of Time by Stephen Hawking was pretty interesting. But I have to say the best book I read in the past year was definitely The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. Totally gorgeous. Okay, have a lovely day:)

Another full band show on October 3rd. It's a Saturday. Our buddy Jesse Valencia of the band Gorky will open the show. Gonna be fun. We'll play some new tunes, too. Also, if you haven't seen the movie Step Brothers, see it. Totally funny.

Hey y'all. The new album is well underway and it's sounding great. We just tracked electric guitars yesterday before I had to cut the session short. Feeling a little feverish. Just the sickness time of year I guess. More soon:)
